Giardiasis is also known as beaver fever.  For real. It sounds like I made that up, but it sounds way more fun than it is. Giardia causes a diarrheal disease that can actually lead to hospitalization, and it spreads like crazy.  People usually get it from swimming in or drinking water that's been contaminated with beaver poop, but once a human has it it can spread from human feces and can spread from contaminated fomites, water, food. Swallowing just a few of these cute little bugs can make you sick for up to 6 weeks. She's too cute to do that! Look at those "eyes."  We also have a cartoon version of Giardia.
